Yes the Tories are in turmoil, and it looks highly likely that there will be an election in the spring, sooner if they implode and a vote of confidence is called, which they then lose, which should be unheard of with the majority the Tories have got in parliament, but I can see a lot of Tory MP's turning on their own party, because they are going to lose their seats at the next election, so they have nothing to lose by bringing the government down.

But what are Labour going to do to stop the boats coming across ? because Labour will face the same legal obstacles which the Tories have had to deal with, and they say they are going to smash the people traffickers in France, so how are they going to do that ?

If in the Labour Party manifesto at the next general election, they say they will give me a bus pass now, and not make me wait until I am 66, I am going to vote Labour

It may be eye watering to you but in the overall scheme of things it’s well below that of many other countries.
There’s no doubt the current standard of UK Ministers and shadow ministers is well below what’s desired. It won’t change for the better until the level of remuneration attracts more talented people to a career in UK politics.
Some of the leaders of EU countries receive more than twice the UK Prime Ministers salary.

I know a few pensioners that are doing alright financially.
The state pension is a bonus to them on top of their private pensions!

Don't get me wrong, I am aware of that a lot of pensioners are struggling. But also a lot of people who are in employment are also in the same boat.

Yes. there seems to be wealthy and impoverished in all walks of life. Even in the once well to do professions. Not long ago in the news, we had barristers leaving their profession as they earned too little to survive.

Poles have gone back home, apart from those who have put down roots here and started small businesses.

pensioners living to long ... if you want to fix the NHS stop treating old people after 70 unless they pay private.....

i know some will say that they have worked all there life and paid into the system !!!! but that money has been spent unless you have a private pension....

the only way to fix this is for the government to rise more income by1 rise Taxes 2 rise the pension age 3 increase the work force and the only way to do that is through an increase in birthrate or immigrants or production......

peter isreal this government is hell bent on privitising the NHS & done it,s upmost to introduce private companies into the NHS which it,s now riddled with them & some are sitting on the board of it . we do NOT WANT a system like america were it,s a 2 tier system & the lesser NHS system is for those who cannot afford their grossly expensive medical insurance which causes deaths because of poorness . if you want your own health on the cheap then so be it but please refrain from wishing it on us over here as it,s bad enough with these jokers in charge as it is . most of the money goes to contracts given out to private companies who provide a cheap & shoddy response for the money they recieve . i notice you dont mention the money given out freely to the rich & big businesses who dont pay their fair share of tax & the baroness mone case in question ? . maybe you shud direct your attention in that direction in the future .
